Stephen DeRosa joined Gersten Savage as a tax associate in the summer of 2010. Mr. DeRosa’s practice focuses on the tax aspects of various corporate and partnership transactions. Mr. DeRosa also handles issues relating to executive compensation, cancellation of indebtedness, and cross-border tax matters. Mr. DeRosa is also experienced in tax controversies and litigation. He has experience handling audits, promoter liability, “tax shelter” transactions, refund litigation, innocent spouse claims, and IRS collection matters. Prior to joining Gersten Savage, Mr. DeRosa was an associate at Martin A. Schainbaum, PLC, in San Francisco, California. Mr. DeRosa is admitted to practice in New York and California.
