Jay M. Kaplowitz founded Gersten Savage LLP in 1977. Since the firm's founding he has served not only as Chairman of the Firm's corporate practice but also as the Firm's Managing Partner.

The primary focus of Mr. Kaplowitz' practice has been structuring financing transactions and representing both issuers and underwriters in public and private securities offerings. He has also represented various fashion enterprises and modeling agencies.

As a member of Gersten Savage's Corporate Department, Mr. Kaplowitz advises small and medium sized companies on corporate finance, SEC disclosure matters, corporate governance, and private and public offerings, including equity offerings, high-yield, and convertible offerings.

Mr. Kaplowitz is an advisor to Formula Capital LLC, a fund of funds, and a member of the Board of Directors of SteelCloud Inc., a developer and manufacturer of customized computer servers and network appliances.
